House of Joy

Romania, a lovely country in Southeastern Europe, is known for its history, beautiful landscapes, and vibrant culture. It’s home to around 19.4 million people, making it one of the most populated countries in the region.
While Romania has made progress in recent years, challenges remain. Almost 35.8% of the country’s 3.7 million children are at risk of poverty and other social problems. About 400,000 children are unable to go to school, and over 50,000 children are in the care of social services due to factors such as poverty, violence, or abandonment.
To address these challenges, the House of Joy, working with World Methodist Evangelism, provides a home for children in need in the Sibiu area. The House of Joy offers a safe and caring environment for orphaned or distressed children. Currently, we care for 13 children. What’s even more impressive is that these children are not just doing well but are also learning about the Gospel, and some of them have become dedicated followers of Jesus.
Romania’s beauty and strength continue to inspire efforts to create a better future for its people, especially its most vulnerable children, who deserve every chance to succeed and be happy.
