A Family Vision for Global Evangelism
From Rev. Dr. Maxie Dunnam’s visionary leadership as Chair of WME (1996-2006) and a member of the Presidium of the World Methodist Council (1996-2001), to Rev. Dr. Kimberly Reisman’s transformative twelve years as WME Executive Director, this family has helped shape the faith of thousands.
In honor of Kim and her father’s extraordinary legacy we are honored to rename the WME Trust Fund as the Dunnam-Reisman Legacy Fund. This fund will support the mission they love – equipping the worldwide Wesleyan Methodist family to share the love of Jesus – providing seed money for a vibrant and sustainable ministry for generations to come.

Maxie, your kindness to me has left a deep impression. My ministry, my leadership and my scholarship have all been inspired and shaped by the interactions we have shared over the years. My earliest memory of you was when I was a student at Asbury. We happened to pass one another on the sidewalk and you stopped to talk with me. You not only remembered my name, but you remembered that my wife had just given birth to our first son. What a gift!

You have been such a faithful friend for many years. We have traveled together, taught together and have had many Spirit filled conversations. When I was at a crossroads in my ministry, you offered kindness and support to me and my family by inviting me to play a small role in WME. It has been a blessing to travel this journey with you!

Your deep passion for sharing the love of God has been evident in the way you have inspired, equipped, and encouraged the global Methodist family to live out the Gospel with courage, compassion, and faithfulness. Through your vision and commitment, the mission of evangelism has been renewed—not merely as a program, but as a way of life rooted in God’s transforming love.
Thank you for your tireless efforts to connect cultures, generations, and communities, reminding us that the message of Christ transcends borders and speaks hope to all people. Your leadership has strengthened the church’s witness and has encouraged many to boldly proclaim God’s grace in word and deed.
