Joanne Valenzuela

Joanne Tumalip Valenzuela is the second eldest among six siblings. Her parents are both senior citizens yet remain active in leading Bible studies. She lives in Pampanga—the lantern capital of the Philippines and a well-known province celebrated for its delicious food.

She serves in the Cansinala Christian Community, a Global Methodist Church affiliate with a special ministry that believes in the uniqueness and potential of every generation and their ability to ignite revival, especially when they come together. This ministry is called Think Generations Hub (TGHUB). She is one of the pastors in this church community and its special ministry.

She also works as the Youth Taskforce Coordinator in her conference, Mega Manila Philippines, and as the Secretary of the Connectional Council in her conference. She enjoys engaging with people of different ages through one-on-one follow-ups and discipleship. She loves creating programs for spiritual empowerment and various kinds of gatherings.

She also enjoys spending time with her one and only niece so far, Zoey Celestine, who teaches her a lot about faith in God, worship, prayer, and relationships. Her name “Joanne” means “God’s gracious gift.”
