This week World Methodist Evangelism Executive Director Dr. Kimberly Reisman is teaching at a World Methodist Evangelism Institute seminar in Jamaica. This seminar in the Caribbean features Bishops, clergy, and laypeople leading in evangelism, providing the opportunity to develop relationships while exploring evangelism challenges and methodologies.
What exactly does faith sharing look like in the Caribbean? What might it look like? What are the dynamics, in particular, on the island of Jamaica? The unique history of the West Indies give a particular context to living out Christian faith and mission.

Closeup of mural in the United Theological College of the West Indies, which cites Jesus’ prayer in John 17:21 in Greek: “That they may all be one. As you, Father, are in me and I am in you, may they also be in us, so that the world may believe that you have sent me. ” The West Indies, while popular for tourism, has a tragic history of slavery, especially in the production of sugar.
