FAQ

Metanoia is for young adults leaders, ages 18-35, in the Wesleyan Methodist tradition. It includes leaders from any and every network or denomination claiming roots in the Wesleyan movement (Methodist, Free Methodist, Wesleyan, Salvation Army, Holiness, Nazarene, etc).

We believe that Metanoia participants don’t just register to join, they are instead SENT by their local church, conference, network, or denomination. So, participating at Metanoia begins with having a conversation with your sending leader(s).

Metanoia is a unique and exciting multi-cultural, international gathering. Consequently, you should expect to meet other leaders from all over the world. Every day will follow a similar pattern:

  • Morning-Early Afternoon: teaching and workshop sessions
  • Mid-late Afternoon: time for connection, reflection, and leisure
  • Evening: worship and celebration

Teachers, presenters and preachers are invited from different ministry and cultural backgrounds, focusing on themes such as faith-sharing, discernment of call, cross-cultural mission, Christian leadership, etc.

As a bonus, about half-way through the gathering, participants enjoy a fun excursion day, included as part of the experience.

The registration fee includes room, meals, materials, fun-day activities, and participation in all sessions with speakers from around the world.

Please note that you are responsible for your travel expenses. WME may arrange for transportation between the airport/bus station and the retreat center, but you will be responsible to get to the event’s location.
