Order of the Flame: 20th Anniversary Celebration
World Methodist Evangelism is excited to host its 20th Order of the Flame invitational evangelism conference this spring, March 14-17 at Epworth by the Sea, St. Simon’s Island, Georgia.
This unique gathering will include a new incoming class of members as well as current members who are alumni of previous gatherings. Invitations have been sent and it is with pleasure that we watch the responses arrive.
Pastors and their spouses have taken part in the annual Order of the Flame conference from across Wesleyan Methodist denominations: Nazarene, United Methodist, AME, Free Methodist, AME Zion, Wesleyan, Christian and Missionary Alliance, and CME are some of the families represented every year.
New participants are nominated by their Bishops, District Superintendents, current members, mentors and other leaders; the Order of the Flame conference is unique, in that the cost for new members is limited to a registration fee and travel: all lodging, meals, and conference expenses are met by World Methodist Evangelism.
For the 20th anniversary Order of the Flame, returning members can expect to pay only for registration, travel, and lodging.
This year the conference will feature plenary sessions as well as separate tracks for new and returning members.
Speakers include Dr. Ivan Abrahams, Rev. Stephanie Caldwell, Bishop Mike Watson, WME Executive Director Dr. Kimberly Reisman, Dr. Joy Moore, Dr. Eddie Fox, Bishop Darryl Starnes, and more, as well as breakout sessions led by a fascinating field of presenters.
World Methodist Evangelism brings the Methodist/Wesleyan family together around the task of multiplying the witnesses for Jesus Christ by encouraging, equipping, and enlivening holistic evangelism and discipleship through word, deed, and sign.
