Eddier Velazquez Díaz is Cuban. He holds a degree in Economics. He was appointed by the Annual Conference of the Methodist Church in Cuba to serve as one of its pastors. He earned a degree in Sacred Theology from the National Methodist Seminary. Upon graduating from the seminary in 2025, he was appointed as a full-time professor to teach Greek and New Testament Exegesis. He currently lives in Havana with his wife, Dailyn, and their seven-year-old son, Eddy Felipe. He enjoys reading and learning new languages.
