Lance’s passion is helping his patients not only alleviate their pain, but learn how to have long term results. While he treats all orthopedic injuries, his specialty is head neck and TMJ pain. Lance uses his advanced certifications in both Manual Therapy and Dry Needling to provide pain relief in a unique fashion that often provides quicker relief than more traditional therapies. In 2000, Lance finished his master’s thesis on the treatment of cervicogenic headaches with manual therapy. This paper was published in the peer-reviewed international recognized Journal of Manual and Manipulative Therapy. He has spoken both nationally and internationally on topics related physical therapy, headaches and pain relief.

Lance graduated from Asbury Theological Seminary in 2010 and has been involved in pastoral ministry since that time. In 2019 he was ordained as an elder in the Free Methodist Church. He and his wife Laurie were called to start a church that reaches Navarre in a unique way. From this calling Ignite was born.

Ignite is a place where you will not only hear the Gospel, but will be given the opportunity to work through how this message plays out in your daily life. We believe church is not just a Sunday to Sunday meeting. It is a way of life.

In addition to their love for God, Lance and Laurie also have a passion of helping with the overall health of others. They are both physical therapists and own Whorton Therapy where they offer a holistic approach to healthcare.  In their spare time they love anything beach: fishing, paddle boarding, or enjoying a sunset, they love anything outdoors.
