Meet our new Board Members

Bishop Bobby Best

is the presiding Bishop of the Ninth Episcopal District of the Christian Methodist Episcopal Church. WME has a long and meaningful relationship with the CME Church, through the leadership of Bishops Nathaniel Lindsey, and Teresa Jefferson-Snorton. We are confident that Bishop Best will continue that fruitful relationship. Bishop Best hails from North Carolina, but currently resides in Los Angeles, California where he provides leadership for CME Churches in five regions: Alaska-Pacific, Arizona-New Mexico, Northern California, Oklahoma, and Southern California.

Bishop Anne Henning Byfield

is the presiding Prelate of the Sixteenth Episcopal District of the African Methodist Episcopal Church. The AME Church is another of WME’s longtime partners with Bishop John Bryant launching that relationship in 1980 by providing a keynote address at the inaugural gathering of Metanoia (formerly ICYCE). We are excited for Bishop Henning Byfield’s leadership and anticipate continued meaningful collaboration with the AME Church. Bishop Henning Byfield served in Indiana prior to being elected to the episcopacy. She resides in Indianapolis, Indiana and oversees the work of AME Churches in seven annual conferences in the Caribbean, South America, and Europe.

Mr. Joe Dan Rogers

is currently a student at Candler School of Theology, Emory University as well as Managing Partner and Founder of Valiant Sports and Entertainment. He holds a BA from the University of Oklahoma, an MA from the University of Alabama, and currently resides in Atlanta, Georgia where he is passionate about supporting athletes in their journey of faith. We are excited to welcome him to the Board and look forward to the unique perspectives he will bring to our work.
